Hi! My name is Tamara, and I am the owner of Smartypants Tuition. I founded my business 16 years ago when I was a teenager, as I wanted to help my fellow classmates revise for their exams. What started out as a small-scale revision club blossomed into a fulfilling career, full of amazing experiences. I have taught groups of various sizes, but have found the one-to-one method to be the most productive for focused learning. As well as tutoring children, I have helped adults pass English and Maths exams with which they previously struggled. I have provided homeschooling support to a number of children over the years, particularly during the 2020/2021 pandemic. In 2016 and 2017, my tuition business enabled me to travel to South America to undertake self-funded charity work that involved teaching illiterate people to read and write, alongside other community outreach programmes.
